About Me

Hi, I’m Jenna!

My front-facing bio reads: Chicago-based Health & Wellness Coach, Movement Educator, Speaker and Small Business Coach for wellness pros.

But behind the scenes, there’s a much richer story. I’m in a stage of my life and career where it’s become abundantly clear that the wellness solutions I’ve interacted with throughout the years, not only had nothing to do with me, but also were designed to keep me doubting myself.

As much as it makes me cringe to say this, I’m certain that I’ve perpetuated toxic wellness messages through my work. That said, as the prolific Maya Angelou told us: “When you know better, you do better.”

I’ve committed to a mindful disruption of the wellness world that promotes equity, inclusion and approaching wellness as quality of life support - instead of simply a mechanism for anti-aging.

Finding the right formula for you can be messy. But so is the human experience. In fact, I think the mess is where we make progress through creative problem solving.

Whether it’s approaching nutrition from a place of permission rather than restriction, moving your body for pleasure, rather than punishment, or presenting play-fueled support strategies to corporate teams, I’m going there…and I hope you’ll come along with me!

When I’m not in my work-flow, you can find me trying to keep up with the dynamic duo of my son Jaxon, my husband Josh, and our husky-mix, Flashlight who have spirits that keep my fuse lit!

Jenna Zaffino is to the Pilates movement what Grant Achatz is to the Chicago food scene. They are both masters, teachers and innovators—and people flock to Chicago to get a taste of their talents.
