What is Energy Renewal/Health Coaching?

A health coach is a professional who uses evidence-based conversation and coaching techniques to engage clients in behavior change that improves their health.

Health coaches work with clients self-determined health and well-being goals and support them with tools and strategies to help them to integrate healthy habits into their lifestyles.

Will I lose weight through a Health Coaching program?

If weight loss is found to be a desired goal for a client, a health coach will be instrumental in helping clients develop plan for behavior changes that will help them achieve this goal. A health coach can also work with a client’s doctor to be clear on the parameters of a weight loss program, however, they cannot prescribe the program for the client.

What is a typical Health Coaching Call like?

While coaching differs from client to client, a health coaching call will usually include the following aspects:

Does insurance cover Health Coaching?

Insurance does not cover health coaching with Jenna, however, this is seen in many cases as a positive aspect. The lack of limitations from insurance can allow the coaching relationship to be fluid and move into areas that come up throughout the coaching program without having to see if they are covered first.

Can a Health Coach write me a diet?

A health coach is not a registered dietician or nutritionist, therefore, they cannot prescribe a diet or nutrition plan. More often than not, a health coach will use techniques and materials to help a client become more aware of the choice in their diet that will contribute to or detract from their overall health and wellbeing goals.

Is exercise a part of Health Coaching?

When you coach with Jenna, the answer is YES! As a seasoned movement professional and exercise, Jenna includes aspects of movement in all of her health coaching programs. This is both beneficial for getting exercise, but also often helps to connect one to an overall sense of well-being in their environment.
